Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Recognizes National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center joins the National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week recognition, February 11 to 17, 2018, which coincides with both Valentine’s Day and American Heart Month, to draw focused national attention to heart health. This year’s theme, “Making Positive Changes, One Beat at a Time,” honors the patients, families, and healthcare professionals who promote cardiac rehabilitation as a vehicle for a healthy lifestyle. National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week was initiated by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation to focus national attention on cardiac rehabilitation’s contribution to the improvement of the health and physical performance of individuals at risk for heart disease and those individuals diagnosed with heart disease or dysfunction. Shown in the photo with Cardiac Rehab Coordinator, Gerry Hourihan, is cardiac rehab patient Geraldine Patterson who states, “I feel like I have been educated along the way.” For more information about the cardiac services available at Claxton-Hepburn, visit us on the web at www.claxtonhepburn.org/cardiology. Your tomorrow is worth defending.
