COVID-19 Update:

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is ready to meet our community's needs while limiting the exposure risks for all of our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Protocols and precautions are in place, so all of our patients can receive the necessary care and testing needed during this situation. These protocols have evolved as the pandemic progressed. CHMC, due to an abundance of caution with COVID-19 positive cases on the rise in the region, is suspending all visitation, except when medically necessary, or for family members or legal representatives of patients in end-of-life situations.

Patients with providers in the Medical Office Building and CHMC Health Centers must be unaccompanied unless assistance is needed or the patient is a minor.

Surgical patients in need of assistance may also have (1) companion at the time of their procedure.

Delivering patients may also have (1) support companion during their time with CHMC.

Emergency Department patients under the age of 18 may also have (1) support companion the duration of their treatment.
