Learn MoreClaxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s Emergency Department (ED) team works hard to provide exceptional, personalized care to North Country residents. CHMC’s ED is staffed with registered nurses, emergency services assistants, mid-level providers, physicians, and behavioral health staff. Our ED has approximately 13,000 visits a year. ED Nurse Manager, Miranda Simpson, RN, stated, “We have above national standards of wait times from door to bed care, meaning our patients do not have extended waiting room times. The ED staff works hard to create a positive patient experience with each patient encounter.”
