At Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, we welcome family and friends to visit patients staying at our hospital. We believe hospital visits can be an important part of a person's recovery. We also know that planning a hospital visit can be a little stressful, especially if you've never been to our hospital before. Here's what you need to know.
Hospital visiting hours
Our general hospital visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. When you arrive, check in at the switchboard to confirm the patient's room number.
Mom's partner can visit anytime. General visiting hours for family and friends are from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. No visitors under 14 years of age are allowed unless they are immediate family. We do suggest a maximum of three visitors at a time. Please, no visitors who have had any of the following symptoms during the past two weeks:
- Cold or other respiratory infection.
- Diarrhea or vomiting.
- Runny nose.
Labor and delivery
During the labor and delivery process, and the recovery period immediately following delivery, in-room visitors will be limited to two (including the significant other). It must be the same two people the entire time.
Enjoy a meal at our Cornerstone Cafe. Located in the hospital's basement level, the Cornerstone Cafe offers a buffet, salad bar and deli station. Custom orders are welcome at the grill. The cafeteria is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The grill is open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Snacks and refreshments also are available at vending machines located throughout the hospital.
The Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary Gift Shop is located on the first floor, just inside the main entrance. You're sure to find the perfect gift for patients of any age. The shop also sells snacks and refreshments.
Free valet parking
Visitors can take advantage of our free valet parking at the Ogdensburg hospital's main entrance on King Street. These services are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
