At Claxton-Hepburn we work hard to make sure that quality, close-to-home, specialized services such as a comprehensive cancer center, a 24-station renal center and a wound healing center with hyperbaric oxygen treatments are available to you. In addition, we operate clinics in Ogdensburg and surrounding communities and employ physicians and other caregivers to ensure that you have access to timely primary care.
Claxton-Hepburn has won national recognition for the quality of care it provides. Recently we received the VHA Clinical Excellence Awards for prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia and central line infections. We were also named a mentor hospital for the renowned Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
At Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, taking care of you and your neighbors is our first priority, and we recognize our role as a safety net for the people we serve. Claxton-Hepburn turns no one away and sets aside a certain amount each year to cover expenses for patients who cannot pay for services they have received.
The Annual Fund helps Claxton-Hepburn continue to fulfill its mission to meet our region's healthcare needs with compassion and excellence by providing a sustainable and flexible source of funds to be allocated to our most critical areas of need. It ensures the long-term viability of our hospital as a resource and safety net for our community.
