As a small town, Ogdensburg is a great place to live and work. Each of the communities that surround Ogdensburg in St. Lawrence County has a character all their own but all are tightly woven and welcoming. Housing costs are modest compared with larger cities. Education

Ogdensburg has a strong educational system that supports both gifted and talented students as well as those with special needs. St. Lawrence County is home to St. Lawrence University, SUNY Canton, SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University.

Cultural life

Despite its rural location, St. Lawrence boasts a variety of cultural sites, including the Frederic Remington Art Museum, Traditional Arts of Upstate New York and St. Lawrence County Historical Association. And within a short drive are the museums and theater in Syracuse, Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal.

You'll be surprised by the entertainment available! Ogdensburg Command Performances, Community Performance Series, The Orchestra of Northern New York, and Crane School of Music each host events throughout the year.

So much to see and do no matter what the season! Visit the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce to learn more. Daily flights are available at the Ogdensburg International Airport through Cape Air, Allegiant Air, and United.

Enjoy the outdoors during all four seasons. Like to ski or hike? Lake Placid and the Adirondack Mountains are just two short hours away. Want to explore the St. Lawrence River? Hop aboard a boat in Ogdensburg or the Thousand Islands.
