Rev. Thomas T. Patterson Wound Healing Center

About Our Wound Healing Center
The Wound Healing Center is a place to turn to when you have a wound anywhere on your body that won't heal. We are equipped with two state-of-the-art hyperbaric chambers, to deliver pressurized 100% oxygen to our patients to promote and accelerate the healing process.
The Center's team of doctors and nurses offer a comprehensive approach to understand what's preventing your wound from healing. We are driven by one goal--to heal your wound.
We treat people who have diabetes, circulatory problems, suppressed immune systems, cancer, burns, and other conditions that stand in the way of the body's natural ability to heal. The use of certain medications also can prevent a wound from healing. At the Wound Healing Center, we can find out why a wound hasn't healed, despite months or even years of conventional treatments. Since we only specialize in healing wounds, you will continue to see your primary care doctor for other medical conditions or illnesses. We work with your primary care doctor, keeping him or her informed of the treatments you receive while you are a patient with us.
What To Expect
When you arrive at the Wound Healing Center we take several steps to gain the information necessary to determine the best course of treatment for you. Once evaluations are completed a treatment plan is developed based on your special needs and we work with your primary care doctor to implement the plan. If you have any of the conditions listed below, we can help you.
- Diabetic foot ulcer
- Lower leg ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Bone infections (osteomyelitis)
- Gangrene
- Skin tears or lacerations
- Radiation burns
- Post-operative infected wounds
- Slow or non-healing surgical wounds
- Wounds from brown recluse spider bites
- Failing or compromised skin/muscle grafts or flaps
- Osteoradionecrosis
- Progressive necrotizing infections
- Chronic refractory osteomyelitis
- Soft tissue radiation injuries
- Any wound that has not healed in 30 days
Treatment programs typically last up to 16 weeks. Your treatment doesn't end when you leave the Wound Healing Center. We teach you how to take of your wound at home and how to prevent future problems once your wound has healed.
