Diabetes Education
This program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association.
Our Diabetes Education Program creates a learning environment for our diabetes population that provides organized, consistent, current, and comprehensive information with the American Diabetes Association standards.
Much of the illness and death from diabetes may be prevented or delayed by modifying diet, activity, and use of medications.
By offering diabetes self management education we can to improve the management skills of persons with diabetes.
We include the physical, social, and emotional aspects of diabetes in our program because diabetes affects all areas of a person's life.
The curriculum is guided by the standards of self-management endorsed by the American Diabetes Association.
Our goals for the education of persons with diabetes patients are:
- Reduced Hb A1c values.
- Improved management skills
