Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Welcomes New Psychiatrist 

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is pleased to welcome Pakkam Rajasekaran, MD to its medical staff.  Dr. Rajasekaran, a psychiatrist, provides inpatient psychiatric care at Claxton-Hepburn’s Mental Health Center. 

Dr. Rajasekaran comes to Claxton-Hepburn from Mary Imogene Bassett Health Care in Cooperstown, New York, where he was an attending psychiatrist since November 2008.  Prior to relocating to New York, his experience in the field of psychiatry included practicing in the state of Maine since 1993. 

Dr. Rajasekaran received his medical degree from Madras Medical College in India and completed an internship at Madras Government General Hospital.  His residency was completed at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. 

Dr. Rajasekaran is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

When asked what Dr. Rajasekaran hopes to bring to Claxton-Hepburn, he stated, “I hope that my wealth of experience and knowledge in psychiatry will help the patients of Claxton-Hepburn.”

Dr. Rajasekaran resides Ogdensburg with his wife Mary.  His interests include reading, traveling and watching ships go down the St. Lawrence River.
