Giving in Tribute
Memorial Giving
Sometimes a donor’s loved one has spent his or her last days
in the hospital. Other times the loved
one is a former employee or volunteer of the hospital. Either way, a donation is a wonderful way to
remember someone one after he or she has passed away. Memorial gifts celebrate the life of someone
important to you. The name of the
memorialized person is featured in a special memorial section of the hospital’s
annual donor list, and his or her family is informed of the gift.
Grateful Giving
Donations can also be made in honor of a living person who
is important to you. Sometimes patients
wish to honor a physician, nurse or other care provider who have gone the extra
mile to help them be healthy and comfortable.
Other times, donors wish to honor an individual who has served as a
community leader, or who helped to mentor or educate them. As with memorial gifts, the names of those
who are honored in a special tribute section of the hospital’s annual donor
list, and the individual honored is informed of the gift.
