Position:  Mental Health Worker

Status: Per Diem

Position Description   

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center seeks several positions for per diem Mental Health Workers.  MHW will provide basic physiologic and psychological care, together with safety measures and environmental care, for mentally ill consumers in an inpatient setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualified candidates must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.  Must have knowledge and understanding/ability to work with mentally ill clientele; prior experience working with mentally ill clientele preferred. Knowledge of growth and development across life span, ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.  MUST BE FLEXIBLE and available for scheduling, willing to work multiple shifts, and willing to work on a call in basis.  Requirements include bending, standing, walking, and schedule flexibility.
